He walked me through the entire process from beginning to end and was very patient and helpful when I wasn’t sure what I was doing! There were multiple stages—character design, thumbnails of the pages, sketches, and finally the colored pages and cover. At each stage I had opportunities to give feedback and make tweaks. He had fun ideas that I would never have thought of on my own, but he also worked hard to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. In the end, I received files ready to upload and publish so I didn’t have to do any of the formatting. He works very hard and very quickly. Hiring an illustrator is a big investment and can be a little scary, but I feel like I found a hidden gem with Jared. I will definitely be reaching out to him for future projects.
